Educational group trip
As part of an educational trip, a group of Orthodox Jews recently
spent a day visiting the site of the Auschwitz Concentration
camp in Poland. The 140-strong group chartered an A320 and enjoyed
a dedicated check in area at Stansted before the two-hour flight
to Krakow.
The Sales Executive at ACS who organised the
trip and flew with the group said, ‘the mood was naturally
sombre but everyone really appreciated the attention to detail
and the excellent customer service we offered, including Kosher
meals. We hope to do more charters with them in the near future.’
Please contact
ACS for more
information on group travel.

Keeping Airlines flying high
Austrian Airlines operations could have ground to a halt recently
when some of their pilots staged a lightning strike in a dispute
over pay structure changes. Luckily for Austrian Airlines, Gavin
Copus, Sales Manager at ACS, was able to source a number of 100-seater
Fokker 100s and 300-seater Airbus A330s for the period of the
dispute. This allowed Austrian to maintain their Europe, Japan
and US routes and to keep their customers happy!

ACS to the rescue
ACS came to rescue on Boxing Day when, tragically, an earthquake
hit the ancient city of Bam.
After receiving a call at 8.30am on Boxing Day morning, Gavin
Copus, was airborne within thirteen hours, heading for Kerman
in South Iran, 60km from the epicentre. On board the Boeing 757
were 70 rescue team members, four dogs and seven tons of equipment.
The relief effort was in conjunction with the Government's Department
for International Development (DFID) and was our first operation
with DFID since being awarded a contract last November.
For urgent personnel transportation or medivac requirements,
please contact
Gavin .
